The Platform Report data is entirely transparent, which means providers are able to see the commercially sensitive data of other providers. For that reason, there are restrictions in place and groups must provide data in order to subscribe and receive the report.

This ensures there is a level playing field for all. It also means that advisers, consultants and other interested industry stakeholders cannot subscribe.  All groups are asked to sign a confidentiality agreement to protect their interests.

Fundscape is flexible and works closely with groups to ensure their data is provided in time for publication. If necessary, we can even delay publication for a day or two. But if data cannot be provided, the group will not receive the Platform Report for that quarter.

This ensures consistency and continuity of data. It also ensures that platforms do not get ‘shy’ when they have had a less-than-good quarter.

Members’ data is stored on a secure server and ringfenced. Access to the data is restricted to named personnel.  We are happy to supply a list of names — currently, there are only three names on the list.

There are two prices for the Distribution report.  If you provide data to Matrix Solutions, then you only pay £3,000 per year. However, if you do not provide data and are not in a position to do so, the annual subscription is £6,000.  Please see services for more information.

Matrix collects data from fund managers, distributors such as platforms and life and pension providers etc. You don’t need to take out a full subscription to Financial-Clarity to subscribe to the Distribution Report. Please contact us for further information.
